Margery Sly, director of special collections at Temple’s Special Collections Research Center, will be inducted as a fellow of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) at the group’s Joint Annual Meeting with the Council of State Archivists in August. This award is the highest honor given by the SAA. Sly is one of four Fellows named this year.
Throughout her career, Sly has worked to archive papers that include government records, senatorial records, women’s history documents, institutional archives, manuscript collections and religious archives. She has been an active member of the SAA for 30 years and recently served on its executive committee. She is the current president-elect of the Academy of Certified Archivists.
