Obesity treatment programs for children are generally far more effective than those for grown-ups. Yet adults have many more options than kids. A new program, developed in collaboration with Gary Foster, director of Temple’s Center for Obesity Research and Education, appeared to produce significant drops in obesity. Foster was asked to develop a scalable program based on proven practices from specialized clinics. After six months there was a 10 percent drop in the number of children considered obese.
