The Internal Revenue Service has advised Temple University that the mileage rate for business use of personal vehicles has been increased to 50.5 cents per mile for any mileage incurred on or after Jan. 1, 2008.

The standard mileage rate to use when computing deductible moving expenses has increased to 19 cents per mile. The mileage rate for charitable purposes remains 14 cents per mile.
