Temple hosts 60th celebration of Twenty Year Club
On June 15, Temple inducted 66 staff employees--those who began their careers at the university between July 1, 1991 and June 30, 1992 --as the newest members of the university’s 20-year club.
Inductees received a pin to which a new stone may be added for every five years of service to Temple.
At the ceremony, which marked the event’s 60th year, past presidents of the 20-year club as well as club members celebrating a five-year anniversary came together to honor the new inductees.
Jim Degnan, senior director of enrollment management at Temple’s Measurement and Research Center, attended the ceremony to celebrate his 35 years with the university.
"You look back on your life, and you look at what you've accomplished. And you look out at the faces there in the audience and realize the combined number of years that have been spent there. Aside from the guests, every one of those people there has been at Temple for 20 years,” Degnan said.
“That says a lot about them, and it says a lot about Temple."
