The state-wide event is one of two election events to be held at Temple on Tuesday

On Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m., Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) will host LIVE Election 2012 on the campus of Temple University. This town hall event will air as part of a series of meetings held at select universities across the state.

The hour-long live program will allow college students and area residents the chance to share questions and comments about election 2012 with a guest panel.  Confirmed panelists include: Dom Giordano, of Talk Radio 1210 WPHT; Phil Heron, editor of the Delaware County Daily Times; Robin Kolodny, Temple associate professor of political science, and Joe Sestak, former Congressman.

The event, which is open to the public, will be held in Shusterman Hall. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

For those unable to attend, participation will be made possible through e-mail and Twitter. Comments and questions during the event can be sent to pcntv2012@pcntv.com or tweeted using #pcntv2012.

For those without access to cable or those unable to get to a TV, PCN’s LIVE coverage will also be made available online by subscribing to PCN Select at pcntv.com. For more information about the streaming service, visit http://pcntv.com/pcn-plus/subscribe-to-premium-content/.

The event is one of two town hall meetings scheduled at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The School of Media and Communication is also hosting a forum on race and diversity and the presidential election. Race in the Race 2012 will be held in Annenberg Hall studio 1 and is being taped for broadcast on TUTV. Following remarks from former Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street, a panel of student leaders will discuss the major issues in this presidential election cycle, including how the candidates and media have handled the issues of race and diversity. Questions and comments will also be taken from the audience.
