Ellen Weber has joined Temple University’s Fox School of Business as executive director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute.

An angel investor and entrepreneur with more than three decades of industry experience, Ellen Weber has joined Temple University’s Fox School of Business as executive director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute (IEI) and assistant professor in the Strategic Management Department.

“I am excited about the opportunity to leverage Temple’s multidisciplinary resources to help students, entrepreneurs, alumni and faculty launch businesses and to further build the connection between Temple and the city’s entrepreneurial community,” Weber said.

The IEI promotes entrepreneurial spirit throughout Temple’s 17 schools and colleges and works to unite students, faculty, alumni, mentors and business leaders from various disciplines and backgrounds for collaboration on real-time projects. The institute sponsors workshops, competitions, seminars and speaker series.

Weber brings to her positions a wealth of professional experience, which includes the development of leaders for emerging companies and Fortune 500 clients through her founding of Robin Hood Ventures. One of the most active angel investment groups in the Philadelphia region, Robin Hood Ventures focuses on regional startups and has invested in more than 50 regional companies since 1999.

“We are pleased Ellen Weber will be joining our department as a faculty member and also leading our IEI team to build on its solid foundation,” said Arvind Parkhe, professor and chair of the Strategic Management Department at Fox.

“We believe Ellen's extensive practical experience will be helpful in teaching our undergraduate and graduate students and also positioning the IEI program for continued success in the future.”
