As part of Temple’s Emergency Preparedness initiative, the Main Campus emergency TU Siren will be tested today, beginning at noon. The test will include two 3-minute siren activations and a TU Alert activation. TU Siren and TU Alert are critical components of Temple's Emergency Notification system. Testing our system is necessary to ensuring its effectiveness. After six years as president, Hart leaves Temple positioned for success
Under the leadership of President Ann Weaver Hart, Temple has experienced extraordinary growth and evolution, forging a national reputation for attracting high-performing students to a campus that is reshaping itself for a 21st century residential learning experience. Hart's presidency ends June 30, when she leaves to become president of the University of Arizona.
New residential hall will be named for Mitchell and Hilarie Morgan
Temple's newest residential complex will be named for Board of Trustees member Mitchell L. Morgan and his wife, Hilarie, to recognize a lifetime of support for the university.
Project SHINE director discusses immigrant advocacy with President Obama
To commemorate the first anniversary of President Barack Obama’s Champions of Change initiative, Patience Lehrman, national director of Temple’s Project SHINE, made a visit to Washington, D.C., where less than a year ago she sat with top immigration policymakers and fellow Champions of Change at a roundtable discussion.
Temple set to honor newest 20-Year Club members
Temple’s 20-Year Club will induct 66 new members — staff employees who began their careers at the university between July 1, 1991 and June 30, 1992 — at a June 15 program that will be held at 5 p.m. in the Temple Performing Arts Center.
Neighbors job fair connects community with employers
Last Thursday, Temple’s Human Resources hosted its Sixth Annual Neighborhood Job Fair in the Great Court in Mitten Hall. More than 1,200 community members were able to network with nearly 60 employers about potential employment opportunities.

An informative and exciting forum for women veterans to engage in dialogue about the challenges and rewards they experienced during their tour of military duty. The event will feature experienced, knowledgeable and expert panelists that will address healthcare, military sexual trauma, mental health, employment, education, homelessness and housing. The event will include a free luncheon sponsored by State Sen. Shirley Kitchen; a resource fair; and information on resources, services and opportunities for military women, veterans and their families.

Underground south steam loop repairs affecting the north side of Montgomery Avenue between 11th and 13th streets have resumed. This project will continue for approximately three months.
