Citizens talk policy with officials at White House Hispanic Summit
Federal officials visited Temple’s Student Center on Saturday to hear the perspectives of local nonprofits, community groups and students as part of the White House’s 19th Hispanic Community Action Summit, which connects administration officials with the public to create action plans based on issues of importance to the community.

Hydrate before, during and after your bike ride in order to avoid dehydration. A great way to keep your beverages cool on a longer ride is to fill your water bottle with mostly ice and a little water. When your ice melts, you will have a refreshing cool drink. Wear light colored clothing or clothing that wicks away sweat and don't forget your helmet- not only does it keep you safe, but it can protect against sunburn.

The HR web site has been updated to show all faculty and administrative staff who are celebrating a five-year-increment service milestone in June 2012 and to show all full-time administrative new hires, promotions and transfers for May 2012.

Internationalization grants have been created by the Office of International Affairs to provide faculty and staff with funding to engage in projects that will help Temple University integrate international and intercultural perspectives and content into teaching, learning, research and campus life. Proposals that fall within the following four categories will be considered: Faculty Exchange with International Partner Universities, Collaborative Research, Globalization of Curriculum, and Globalizing the Campus. Grants of up to $4,000 will be awarded to exceptional proposals selected by a subcommittee.
