Temple again named to Military Friendly Schools list
Temple has been named to the Military Friendly Schools list honoring the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that do the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans and spouses as students and to ensure their success on campus. Categories in which schools are rated include military support on campus, academic credibility, veteran graduation rates and tuition assistance.
Study Abroad Week aims to change Temple culture
Last week, Temple’s Office of Education Abroad and Overseas Campuses hosted its second annual Study Abroad Week. Events included a meet and greet with the Education Abroad staff, a Mini Study Abroad Fair and information sessions about studying abroad at Temple’s Rome and Japan campuses, as well as at other locations around the globe. Additionally, the Education Abroad staff held joint sessions with academic advisors from individual schools that informed students about how studying abroad can complement their degrees.

Keynote speaker Stephen Baylin, professor of oncology and deputy director of the Cancer Center at McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, will address "The Epigenome, Development, Chromatin Regulation and Epigenetic Therapy."

This information session is geared toward new faculty and staff to inform them about the CARE Team on campus. The CARE Team works to prevent crisis through early identification, intervention and intensive case management of chronic, persistent and complex cases involving difficult student behaviors or issues.

A discussion with Jon Rubin about his most recent artwork. Works by Rubin will be installed in the gallery, including 102.9 Sounds You Never Hear, and Part 3 of an ongoing piece, Eternal Happiness Flying Through The Sky.

7-8 p.m. Tyler School of Art, Tyler Contemporary.

A Madden 2013 video game tournament. Sign ups will take place 30 minutes prior.
