Over the summer, a group of Temple students studied transportation, urban agriculture and emergency food services in Norristown, Pa., to better understand the community's access to nutritious, safe, affordable food.

This eight-week program is designed to prepare beginner and intermediate runners and non-runners to partipate in the City 6 5K race Nov. 8. The training program includes weekly group meetings, training runs, lectures and handouts.

The TemPALS program—now open to university employees—pairs participants with an international student who is new to both the U.S. and Temple. TemPALS participants' advice on using area grocery stores, navigating Temple and understanding Philadelphia's traditions makes them a key part of a rewarding experience for our growing international student body. Register for the program and orientation.
