In this installment of the faculty focus series, Sport and Recreation Management Professor Jeremy Jordan reveals that participating in long-distance running, such as the upcoming Broad Street Run, has a positive impact on quality of life.
Funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to Temple University will help plan health, environmental and economic improvements in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood. The $200,000 grant will target the cleanup and reuse of former industrial sites.

EarthFest is Temple's annual outdoor festival celebrating Earth Day, where organizations, businesses, individuals and students of all ages demonstrate sustainable concepts and technologies, and provide interactive educational displays and activities. More than 7,000 visitors are expected. Among the 75 exhibitors are the Philadelphia Zoo, the Franklin Institute, Elmwood Park Zoo and the Academy of Natural Sciences. The Dialogue Institute and the Journal of Ecumenical Studies at Temple present a conversation on intra- and interfaith dialogue in celebration of 50 years of interreligious scholarship and activism. Speakers include Leonard Swidler, professor of religion and founder of the Dialogue Institute at Temple. A book signing and reception will be held prior to and following the presentation. Registration is requested, with a $10 suggested donation. The event is free to students with a TUid.

This theatrically staged production includes a historically informed narrative and multimedia presentation honoring the 150th anniversary of the end of the American Civil War. Purchase tickets at the Liacouras Box Office.

For the last 18 years, Temple University Ambler has served as a host for this annual walk which highlights the March of Dimes’ ongoing campaign to increase research to find the cause of prematurity. Register and join the Temple Ambler team.
