Edie Windsor, CLA ’50, is coming back to Philadelphia for a historic celebration Saturday, April 26, during Alumni Weekend 2014. She will be receiving an alumni fellowship award from Temple before a screening of “Edie & Thea: A Very Long Engagement” and a question-and-answer session.
For more than a decade, Brandice Mazick has been signing for Temple students, faculty, and events. Commencement is an event that holds a special place in her heart. In this video, she shares her experiences as a sign-language interpreter.

Health professionals will conduct free health screenings and provide wellness information to the Temple community. There will be raffle prizes, free massages and opportunities to learn more about the Total Wellness program at Temple.

The Institutional Research and Assessment staff will meet attendees and share information about reporting, testing and assessment. Guests will receive a copy of the new “Temple At-A-Glance” fact sheet and see a preview of the soon-to-be-available fact book.

C.W. Anderson, assistant professor of media culture at the College of Staten Island, will lead this talk as a part of the SMC Spring Speakers Series.

Owls will return to Main Campus to celebrate their Temple pride. Events include the annual Cherry and White game, a 5k run/walk and class reunions. Visit the alumni website for a complete schedule of events.

A screening of Edie & Thea: A Very Long Engagement will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Edie Windsor, CLA ’50. This discussion will be moderated by Angela Giampolo, LAW ’08.

Saturday, April 26, 2–4 p.m., Temple Performing Arts Center.

Beginning April 28, all members of the Temple community are asked to contact their state representatives and state senators to let them know why Temple is important to them. This initiative coincides with the Office of Government Affairs’ efforts to introduce Temple students to elected officials in Harrisburg during Cherry and White Week.
