For the second year in a row, Temple University has set a new record for fundraising, bringing in $67.9 million for the fiscal year that ended June 30. The year also marked a new milestone for faculty support, which topped $7 million.
President Neil D. Theobald has appointed Joyce Wilkerson as his senior advisor for community relations and development.
The beginning of the school year marks the debut of Temple’s new academic calendar, which will include a fall break, standardized scheduling rules for future semesters and a move of Temple’s annual Commencement exercises.

Welcome Week introduces new students to life at Temple. Students can explore campus, get settled in their new homes, meet new people, and attend special activities and events. View the complete Welcome Week schedule.

This conference offers graduate-student teachers an opportunity to network, share ideas and prepare for teaching at Temple University. Participation is mandatory for all new TAs. Returning TAs are encouraged to attend.

The TemPALS program—now open to university employees—pairs participants with an international student who is new to both the U.S. and Temple. TemPALS participants' advice on using area grocery stores, navigating Temple and understanding Philadelphia's traditions makes them a key part of a rewarding experience for our growing international student body. Register for the program and orientation.

State-mandated testing for international teaching assistants

All international teaching assistants must register for the SPEAK test in order to be assigned TA duties for the fall semester. This is a state-mandated test. For more information, visit the International Teaching Assistants Program.
