During Vice President for Computer Services and Chief Information Officer Tim O'Rourke's thirty plus years at Temple, he led the creation and design of the TECH Center, expanded wireless access across the university, and much more. Barbara Dolhansky, associate VP of computer services, will serve as interim VP for computer services and CIO effective today. A national search for a permanent VP/CIO is set for the 2015-2016 academic year.

An impressive contingent of Temple fans traveled to New York to cheer on their team in Madison Square Garden.

An inspiring postseason run came to a heartbreaking end for Temple men's basketball in the NIT Semifinals, as the Owls (26-11) lost 60-57 to the University of Miami (25-12) at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.

Blackstone LaunchPad is an innovative program that supports entrepreneurship as a viable career path for college students. In this session, participants will learn how to create an effective social media presence for their venture.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, best-selling author and autism activist Ron Suskind will share his latest research and the story of raising his autistic son. A panel discussion featuring leading local autism researchers and advocates will follow. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

In this forum presented by the Temple University Department of Community and Regional Planning and the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations, candidates for mayor will answer questions and share ideas on how Philadelphia can nurture growth and development in a way that attacks inequality, improves the conditions of neighborhoods and provides opportunities for all residents to benefit from a stronger city.

  • Criminal Justice Career Fair. This event features a lunch and panel presentation (for criminal justice majors only); a federal job search presentation, open to all; and a career fair, with an array of organizations, open to students of all majors. Tuesday, April 7, 12:30-4 p.m., Howard Gittis Student Center, Room 200. 11:30 p.m., lunch and panel presentation; 12:30 p.m., federal job search presentation; 1 p.m., career fair.
  • College of Education: The Educators Fair. Early entrance to the fair, from 2 to 3 p.m., is only open to those who preregister by 5 p.m. Friday, April 3. The general career fair is open to all Temple students and alumni. A resume is required. Wednesday, April 8, 3-6 p.m., Mitten Hall, Great Court. 2-3 p.m., career fair for pre-registered students and alumni only; 3-6 p.m., open to all.
