President Neil D. Theobald joined with the leaders of six other major institutions of higher education in an op-ed to promote cooperation in the fields that will drive Pennsylvania’s economy. The opinion piece, which ran in the Currents section of Sunday’s Philadelphia Inquirer, said that: “We are pursuing an unprecedented collaboration: seven universities with a single vision for reinvigorating our manufacturing industry through science, engineering, and innovation."

The number of veterans at Temple has exploded in recent years. In honor of Military Appreciation Month, the Temple Made student profile series introduces you to Temple Veterans Association (TVA) President Silas Adams, an active duty Marine for eight years with two tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. It's not easy reintegrating into a college setting after serving overseas. But TVA offers veterans a powerful tool: each other.

The long wait is over. The Temple men's basketball team's 2013-14 home schedule — the most demanding in the program's history — tips off tonight when the Owls host Kent State at the Liacouras Center at 7 p.m. Fans who bring canned food items get $5 off select tickets to the game (students can pick up their free ticket at the 15th and Montgomery entrance starting one hour before game).
