Temple nursing students visit a neighborhood shelter once a week each semester to educate its residents about health issues: weight management, healthful eating, birth control. The visits are designed to help them better understand community public‐health issues.

On Monday, Jan. 20, Temple University served as one of many sponsors for the 19th Annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service—the largest King Day event in the nation.
