Over the past decade, the Olympic stage has become more of a fashion catwalk, says Susannah Cobb McMonagle, a Temple PhD student pursuing a degree in media and communication. Her research shows that the fashion and sport industries are learning that cross-promotion collaborations benefit both of them significantly. |

The Computer Recycling Center and the Office of Sustainability kicks off RecycleMania on the HSC campus with a swap table featuring free office supplies, including binders, folders and highlighters, from the CRC's swap room. The Temple community is welcome to bring materials to the swap or pick up materials for free. This event marks the beginning of RecycleMania, a 10-week national recycling competition among colleges and universities. |

Learn more about the Gilman Scholarship program, which provides awards of up to $5,000 to undergraduates who are U.S. citizens and will study abroad. Students studying a critical-need language while abroad in the Middle East, North Africa or other nontraditional locations also are eligible for an additional $3,000 Gilman Critical Need Language Supplement. |

Temple will host its first zero-waste basketball game in the Liacouras Center. “Zero-waste” stations will be set up on the center's concourse, and all items sold at the event will be either compostable or recyclable. The first 500 students in the “Cherry and White” section will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of Temple's Computer Recycling Center. |
