This winter's stormy weather has played havoc with the spring semester's academic schedule. To ensure that Temple instructors have sufficient time to cover course content, the Office of the Provost has contacted faculty to offer alternatives for replacing missed class time. The good news: That can be accomplished without adjusting the official spring 2014 academic calendar.

Months of hard work by students and faculty at Temple's Ambler Campus paid off with special honors for their 2014 Philadelphia Flower Show Exhibit, “Tamanend’s Track: The Path to a Portrayal of the Past.”
More than 600 Philadelphia public, parochial, charter and home-schooled students in grades 7 through 12 showcased their science and engineering skills at Philadelphia’s largest annual science fair, held in Temple’s Athletic Pavilion.

President Theobald’s seminar is working on several issues at Temple. If you are a student and could take five minutes to fill out a survey about Student Health Services by March 14, we would love your input.

The Freeman Scholarship funds students participating in for-credit internships while studying abroad at Temple University, Japan Campus, during summer 2014, fall 2014 or spring 2015.

The Institute for Public Affairs will host David Magleby, professor of political science at Brigham Young University. He is nationally recognized as an expert on direct democracy, voting behavior and campaign finance.

The Ambler Campus Program Board will hold a general meeting. Throughout the year, the program board sponsors various social activities, both on and off campus.

{ On the Horizon }

The Temple Law Foundation will make tickets available to Temple undergraduate students for "Remarks by President Bill Clinton," April 10, 2014, at 6:00 p.m in the Liacouras Center. Beginning Monday, March 10, tickets will be available for pickup on a first-come, first-served basis to full-time undergraduates with valid Temple IDs at the Liacouras Center during normal box-office hours (Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). Seating is assigned, so if you would like to sit next to another student during the event, you must pick up your tickets at the same time.  If you have family or friends who would like to purchase tickets, or you would like to sit with family and friends, visit the Liacouras Center website for ticket information.
