David Brenner, a Temple communication graduate who went on to become one of the nation’s best-known stand-up comics for more than four decades, died over the weekend. He was 78. A favorite of Johnny Carson, Brenner made more than 150 appearances as a guest and substitute host on Carson's "Tonight Show," starting in the 1970s. He graduated from Temple in 1961. 
Overabundant deer populations in U.S. forests and wooded areas facilitate the growth of invasive plant species at the expense of native plant species, according to a new study that included Assistant Professor of Biology Rachel Spigler.

In a local “Brotherly Love” segment last week, CBS 3’s Eyewitness News showcased the Academy for Adult Learning, a program in the College of Education, that helps adults with intellectual disabilities acclimate to college life.

The Temple Law Foundation will make tickets available to Temple undergraduate students for "Remarks by President Bill Clinton," April 10, 2014, at 6:00 p.m in the Liacouras Center. Beginning Monday, March 10, tickets will be available for pickup on a first-come, first-served basis to full-time undergraduates with valid Temple IDs at the Liacouras Center during normal box-office hours (Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). Seating is assigned, so if you would like to sit next to another student during the event, you must pick up your tickets at the same time.  If you have family or friends who would like to purchase tickets, or you would like to sit with family and friends, visit the Liacouras Center website for ticket information.
