The League for Entrepreneurial Women’s 15th annual conference will address the challenges and interests of entrepreneurial women in and around Philadelphia. Successful entrepreneurs, several of whom are alumni, will share their insights and experiences about starting and growing a business. This is a free event, and breakfast will be provided.

The Department of Asian & Middle Eastern Languages & Studies (formerly the Department of Critical Languages) presents a series of noon-hour talks. At this session, Assistant Professor Alexa Firat will be presenting. All are welcome.

Drawing from his 33 years at Temple University, Professor of Film and Media Arts Paul Swann will discuss how Philadelphia has become a top choice for the movie and television industry. Highlighting the work of Temple alumni and students, he will illustrate the talent it takes to thrive in this dynamic and competitive field. This event is part of Homecoming 2014. Cost is $5 per person and includes a buffet lunch. Guests are able to register at the door.
