Pulitzer Prize–winning author Michael Moss will discuss the boardroom strategies and marketing campaigns of the most recognizable food brands in the U.S. In his book, Salt, Sugar, Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us (recently featured on the cover of The New York Times Magazine), Moss argues that food science labs have calculated the “bliss point” of sugary products to guarantee maximum addictiveness. He also will sign books following the discussion. |

Temple will host its first zero-waste basketball game in the Liacouras Center. “Zero-waste” stations will be set up on the center's concourse, and all items sold at the event will be either compostable or recyclable. The first 500 students in the “Cherry and White” section will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of Temple's Computer Recycling Center. |
