Erik Cordes, assistant professor of biology at Temple, is on a scientific voyage to study how ocean acidification and climate change are affecting deep-sea coral. Cordes and his team recently boarded the research ship Atlantis for an investigative journey across the Gulf from April 27 to May 16.
After holding a range of internships in places as high profile as the White House and Madison Square Garden, Amy Bendekovits is ready to take on the Big Apple with a full-time management position at Aramark that starts in June.

This fair will provide educational resources and recreational activities for the Temple community. Participants may visit booths to receive information about infection control measures, stress management, nutrition, physical activity, hygiene and health risks associated with substance abuse.

The School of Media and Communication has launched a collection of nonperishable food to contribute to the food bank operated by the Berean Presbyterian Church. Contributions can be dropped off in one of two locations in Annenberg Hall: the dean’s office on the third floor or the operations office on the first floor.

Today through Tuesday, May 13, all day, Annenberg Hall. 

Temple Theaters will stage the world premiere of Odd Girl Out, an original drama that reveals the hidden world of bullying among preteen and teenage girls. The play is based on a groundbreaking book of the same name by Rachel Simmons.

The Temple University Alumni Association is sponsoring a cheering station at Broad Street and Polett Walk, to encourage the 40,000 runners that will come through Main Campus during the 2014 Blue Cross Broad Street Run. Participants are invited to wear Temple gear and bring noisemakers and signs for cheering on the runners.

Temple University’s 127th Commencement exercises will be held May 15 at 10 a.m. in the Liacouras Center. To learn more, including information on transportation, parking and individual school and college ceremonies, visit Commencement 2014.
