The Temple volleyball team will host a pair of American Athletic Conference matches this weekend, including a special Friday night "Dig Pink" match at 7 p.m. The Owls' "Dig Pink" event is coordinated with hundreds of other high school and college volleyball events taking place in October across the nation to raise money for breast cancer research.

This week's roundup of media appearances by Temple faculty and students includes a 'New York Times' story on Temple psychologist Kathy Hirsh-Pasek's research on children's language development, a 'Diverse' story on the Temple Option and a 'Philadelphia Inquirer' story on a pioneering rabbi (who happens to be an alumna).

Dave Lindorff, former China correspondent for Bloomsburg Businessweek, will lead a discussion on the ongoi ng demonstrations taking place in Hong Kong.

Catch a free bus ride to the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Admission is $10 to the museum or $14 for both, with a student ID. Students must be back at the museum by 5 p.m. to catch the bus home. Tickets are available today, Friday, Oct. 24, at the Tyler front desk from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

Saturday, Oct. 25, 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Bus will depart from 13th and Diamond streets.

Bike Temple is celebrating Halloween with a costumed bike ride out to Laurel Hill Cemetery for a free tour. Students, nonstudents and riders of all skill levels are welcome. Ghouls and goblins should meet at the Bell Tower at noon. Costumes are encouraged. This event is part of Campus Sustainability Week.

The Owls host the Leopards.

Sunday, Oct. 26., 1 p.m. Geasey Field.
