Faculty of the Game: Snow removal team
A special team of employees were recognized for their dedication, service and commitment at the men's basketball game against South Florida Jan. 9. This winter, the university’s snow removal team has been working around the clock to keep Temple campuses safe for students, faculty and staff.

Faculty of the Game: Istvan Varkonyi
Istvan Varkonyi, associate professor of German, was honored with the "Faculty of the Game" award during the Temple men's basketball game Jan. 11. The Temple men’s basketball team studied with Varkonyi while traveling and playing exhibition basketball in Europe.

Faculty of the Game: Doug Wager
Doug Wager was honored with the “Faculty of the Game” award during the men’s basketball game against Cincinnati Jan. 26. Wager is best known for his work as an award-winning director, having spent over three decades in the profession prior to joining the Department of Theater at Temple in 2004.

Faculty of the Game: Kate Lynch
Kate Lynch, a digital library application developer, received the “Faculty of the Game” award during the men’s basketball game against Rutgers Jan. 29. Through her expertise, she has made contributions to web accessibility that have been valuable to the Temple community.

Mark Anderson received the "Faculty of the Game" award at the men's basketball game against Villanova Feb. 1. Anderson has been a professor in the Beasley School of Law at Temple for 25 years.

This forum features Trudy Rubin, world correspondent forThe Philadelphia Inquirer; Wael Nawara, a political strategist and organizer who recently served as a fellow in Harvard's Kennedy School of Government (via Skype from Cairo); Ashraf Khalil, Middle East correspondent forTime magazine and author of Liberation Square, about the Egyptian uprising in 2011 (via Skype from Cairo); and Nancy Okail, executive director of the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Politics. Ndidi Anyaegbunam, a development specialist in African Affairs in the United Nations who graduated from Temple, will moderate the program. |

May graduates: Feb. 17 is the deadline to complete graduation applications
Students graduating in May must complete a graduation application using Self-Service Banner. Log in to TUPortal, click Self-Service Banner->Student Records->Apply to Graduate. Be sure to enter your name carefully, as that is how it will appear in the Commencement program and on your diploma. If you apply after the Feb. 17 deadline, your name might not appear in the Commencement and school graduation program books, and you might not receive all graduation-related communications or documents.
