More than 200,000 patrons attended this year’s Philadelphia Auto Show, which ran from Feb. 8 to Feb. 16 in the Pennsylvania Convention Center. To help promote the show, Temple engineering students made a commercial featuring a “Rube Goldberg” device—an over-engineered machine designed to perform a simple task in a complicated fashion, originated by cartoonist Rube Goldberg.
Highlights from recent stories about Temple faculty members, students and programs in the media include a rare front-page story in the "Science Times" section of the New York Times (the subject: the science of itch) and a Philadelphia Inquirer feature story on a Fox School study exploring biological reactions to Super Bowl ads.

Immigrant Diaries is a themed talent showcase where each performance is accompanied by a short story about the culture behind it. Many of the performers are first-generation Americans or descendants of immigrants.

Shakespeare’s finest tragedy about corruption of power and consequences of blind ambition, Macbeth examines the rise and fall of a great, tragic hero as he struggles to hold onto his power. This enduring classic is brought to life by Professor of Theater Dan Kern.
