The 22 students in President Neil D. Theobald’s yearlong freshman seminar, “Organizational Change at Temple University,” are divided into groups that are each developing a plan to address an issue on campus, such as student health, dining services and resources for commuter students.
Today, 10 exemplary faculty members will be celebrated for their achievements in teaching, research and creativity at Temple University’s Faculty Awards Luncheon on Main Campus.
Temple’s first web-based sitcom, “one of the guys,” has earned a Television Academy Foundation College Television Award in the “Best College Series” category.

Temple Theaters will stage the world premiere of Odd Girl Out, an original drama that reveals the hidden world of bullying among preteen and teenage girls. The play is based on a groundbreaking book of the same name by Rachel Simmons.

Alyson E. Fournier, associate professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University, will discuss spatial and temporal regulation of cytoskeletal dynamics and axon guidance.

Jing Huang, a principal investigator in the Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics at the National Cancer Institute, will discuss the unique roles of p53 in embryonic stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells.
