Temple University has revised its policy regarding minors who visit and participate in programs and activities on campus. The new policy outlines the requirements for reporting abuse and neglect of a minor, in line with Temple policy and local, state and federal law. It also outlines the screening, and training and conduct requirements of university programs and programs conducted on Temple property or with university resources.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton will visit the Liacouras Center April 10 to address an audience of more than 8,000 people. Clinton was invited to speak by the Temple Law Foundation, a group founded in 1959 to promote excellence in the Beasley School of Law. Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell will moderate a question-and-answer session after Clinton’s remarks.
Brian Foley is a senior advisor for continuing studies, a Temple alumnus and an award-winning fast walker. In this video, Foley shares how he became a competitive walker and his techniques for winning races.

This roundtable will examine diverse approaches to media pedagogy being developed in academic fields and subfields. Participants will discuss new approaches to teaching the theory and practice of media-making in anthropology.

Amanda Hitt, director of the Government Accountability Project’s Food Integrity campaign, will facilitate a discussion about the role whistleblowers play in protecting the public interest and ensuring food integrity. The discussion will feature Phyllis McKelvey, a dedicated food-industry and federal-government employee who has expressed her concerns about new USDA regulations publicly.

The graduate Creative Writing program will host a talk with Mecca Jamilah Sullivan, CLA ’06, a fiction writer and a Temple alumna. She has won numerous awards, including the Charles Johnson Fiction Award and the James Baldwin Memorial Playwriting Award. Additionally, she was named the 2011 NYC Emerging Writer Fellowship at the Center for Fiction in New York City.

Fox Chase Cancer Center welcomes George Johnson, former New York Times editor, science writer and author of The Cancer Chronicles: Unlocking Medicine's Deepest Mystery. After the discussion, Johnson will sign books during a catered reception. The event is free, but registration is required.

A countercultural commentary on love, war and youthful rebellion, this watershed 1960s musical is still timely and popular. The story of one group’s struggle to live out their ideals in a chaotic world not only defined a generation, but also the future of the rock musical genre.

Celebration of Globalization is a biannual event that showcases Temple's and Philadelphia's dedication to globalization.

Students may celebrate Thank a Donor Week by stopping by the Bell Tower and taking a few minutes to say thanks to Temple’s donors. Pens and cards will be provided, and participants will be eligible to win a $100 gift card.
