As part of TUready, Temple's emergency preparedness program, the Main Campus emergency siren will be tested today, Sept. 18, rescheduled for 10 a.m. TUsiren and TUalert are critical components of Temple's TUready emergency notification system. Today's test will include two three-minute siren activations and initiation of the TUalert system. The TUalert will include a voice and text message to all registered cellphones and email notification to all Temple accounts.

It was a busy week for Temple scholars in the national news media, with faculty sharing their expertise about graphic design education in 'U.S.News & World Report,' the Japanese job market in 'USA Today,' adolescent psychology in the 'The Atlanta Journal-Constitution' and journalism trends in 'The Washington Times.'
Photojournalist Iris Dawn Parker, who mentored four Temple students studying in South Africa last summer, will be featured at a major exhibit on Main Campus this month.

Researchers at Temple University are conducting a study to test an approach for helping children get a good night’s sleep. To be eligible, your child must be 8 to 11 years old and sleep 9.5 hours or fewer each night. All families will learn how to improve their child’s sleep and will be compensated for their time. Call 215-707-8998 to see if you and your child qualify for this program.

Foundations of Study Abroad This session provides the basic information needed to start planning a semester, year or summer abroad. Participants will learn about program options, application procedures, finances, travel essentials and more. Monday, Sept. 15, 10 a.m., 200 Tuttleman.

Where in the World Extravaganza & Scavenger Hunt Join us every day of the week during the lunch hour at the Bell Tower to be entertained by student groups, eat soft pretzels and participate in the #WhereintheWorld Can Temple Take You? photo scavenger hunt contest. Daily, noon, Bell Tower.

TUTV Temple Experience: Study Abroad Returning Students Panel Come to the TUTV studio to learn about studying abroad from a panel of returned participants and scholarship recipients. Our study abroad staff and scholarship advisor will also be on hand to answer your questions. Monday, Sept. 15, 4:30 p.m., Kal & Lucille Rudman Media Production Center, Annenberg Hall.
