As part of TUready, Temple's emergency preparedness program, the Main Campus emergency siren will be tested today, Sept. 18, rescheduled for 10 a.m. TUsiren and TUalert are critical components of Temple's TUready emergency notification system. Today's test will include two three-minute siren activations and initiation of the TUalert system. The TUalert will include a voice and text message to all registered cellphones and email notification to all Temple accounts. Members of the Temple community are advised to confirm and update their contact information in Self-Service Banner to ensure receipt of TUalert emergency notifications. For more information on how to register, please visit www.temple.edu/tuready. When the TUsiren sounds in a real emergency, everyone on campus is to shelter in place. To learn more about sheltering in place, or the directive to seek refuge indoors, please visit the TUready website.
