Temple University President Neil D. Theobald announced that he has nominated Kevin G. Clark to the newly created position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Clark has served as vice president and athletic director at Temple since 2013.

Temple University President Neil D. Theobald announced that Patrick M. Kraft, who currently serves as Temple's deputy director of athletics, will replace Kevin Clark as athletic director.

Tiffenia Archie, director of faculty recruitment and retention for the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL), has been appointed interim associate vice president (AVP), after the departure of AVP Rhonda L. Brown. Brown has left to pursue other professional interests after 10 years of service at Temple University.

Participate in new antidepressant drug research study

If you are between the ages of 18 and 65 and are not receiving help from your current antidepressant medication, you may be eligible to participate in a research study of a rapidly acting experimental drug. The study is being conducted in patients with major depression at Temple University Hospital—Episcopal Campus. This drug, called a kappa opioid receptor antagonist, will be taken once per day for only six days. For more information, call 215-707-8204 or email jennifer.henry@tuhs.temple.edu.

 

Participate in College of Public Health study

Are you a Temple University employee with musculoskeletal pain, weakness or numbness that began within the last three months? Have you not yet sought care for it? If so, then take part in the College of Public Health's musculoskeletal health study. You will receive early care and a $70 gift card for participation. The study, which runs now through April 2016, aims to provide a convenient, on-site, streamlined pathway for Temple employees to receive care for their musculoskeletal symptoms and improve their health. Participants will be evaluated and treated at the Employee Health office, located at 1810 Liacouras Walk, fourth floor.
