Temple’s Board of Trustees will name the School of Medicine for Trustee Lewis Katz, CST ’63, in recognition of his commitment and his lifetime of efforts on behalf of the university.
Temple’s Commencement ceremony honors the achievements of its real-world-ready graduates, who hail from programs as diverse as art history, biology, kinesiology, landscape architecture, marketing, music therapy, theater and hundreds of others.

Broadcast-news legend Dan Rather, who has covered most of the world’s major news events over the past six decades, will be the keynote graduation speaker for Temple University’s School of Media and Communication May 15.
In 2010, Katerina Johantgen enrolled at Temple as a theater major and quickly stood out to faculty members as a dynamic performer. Now, the Department of Theater’s shining star will take the main stage for her final leading role at the university: student speaker for Temple’s 127th Commencement.

Temple University's 127th Commencement excercises will be held May 15 at 10 a.m. in the Liacouras Center. To learn more about the event, including information about transportation, parking, and individual school and college ceremonies, visit Commencement 2014.

The Class of 2014 can commemorate their achievements at selfie stations at three locations on campus. The pop-up stations are equipped with signs to display your newly graduated status. Show your Temple pride and share your selfies on social media using the hashtag #TUgrad14.

Today, 8 a.m., Alumni Circle, Liacouras and Polett walks; Bell Tower; Liacouras Walk, south of Montgomery Avenue and east of Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

Temple Theaters will stage student matinee performances of Odd Girl Out, an original drama that reveals the hidden world of bullying among preteen and teenage girls. The play is based on a groundbreaking book of the same name by Rachel Simmons.

Parking reassignment plan for Commencement

Temple University’s 127th Commencement exercises for the Class of 2014 will take place Thursday, May 15. To ensure that graduates and their guests have convenient parking available, monthly, semester and part-time parkers must be relocated temporarily. For a complete list of reassignments, visit the Office of Parking Services.
