Renting your textbook is the new way to save cash on campus. "Everyone's looking for a way to reduce the expense, to minimize the cost, and rentals were one of the logical steps," says Jim Henley of the Temple University Book Store. If your college bookstore doesn’t rent yet, just head online. At ecampus.com, bookrenter.com and chegg.com, you can rent books for 50-60% off, and have them delivered right to your dorm. When you send them back at the end of the semester, shipping is free.

Philadelphia remains a football town and fans are desperate for the Eagles to win the Super Bowl. Those conclusions remain clear from the latest survey of sports fans in the Philadelphia area conducted for the Daily News by Temple's Sport Industry Research Center. The poll was conducted in early August. If Philadelphia could win only one championship in the next 10 years, 81 percent said most fans would choose the Super Bowl.
