Resumes in hand, students meet face-to-face with potential employers

With resumes in hand and dressed to impress, Temple students met with more than 70 employers at the university-wide Career Fair held on Feb. 23 in the Howard Gittis Student Center.

Companies such as Abercrombie and Fitch, CBS Radio, Easter Seals, Merck and the National Park Service were on hand to discuss a range of opportunities, including professional internships and full-time positions.

The event was open to juniors, seniors, graduate students and alumni, and several recruiters remarked on the quality of candidates they met at the event.

"The students here at Temple are well prepared, they are very focused and know what they want -- very approachable," said Sue Collins, a human resource specialist at Easter Seals of Southeastern Pennsylvania. "I find it to be one of the nicest job fairs."
