As students and faculty return for the beginning of the Spring semester, new Temple President Neil Theobald introduces himself to the university community via an online video and talks about the excitement and optimism he feels in taking the helm of one of Philadelphia's premier institutions.

"People have such a positive vision of this university and what it can be," said Theobald. “They want to help. (They ask) 'How can I be involved? How can I help you do this?'"

The university's new leader says he is especially excited to meet Temple students as the semester gets underway.

"I love to stop, chat, learn their priorities and what can we do better. That’s always my primary question," said Theobald. "Any suggestions they have, I want to talk to students."
