Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., visited Shusterman Hall last week for an event hosted by Temple’s Institute on Disabilities. Casey was there to celebrate the U.S. House of Representatives’ passage of the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act, which would allow people with disabilities to establish tax-free savings accounts. Several children and adults with disabilities were in attendance. Shawn Aleong, a graduate of the Institute’s Academy for Adult Learning, also spoke at the event.
