Tyler professor transforms salvaged classroom objects into art

Tyler School of Art Professor Pepón Osorio is transforming Philadelphia's vacant Fairfield Elementary School into art for his new installation at Tyler.

Pepón Osorio, Laura H. Carnell Professor of Community Art at Tyler School of Art, is using objects found in Philadelphia's vacant Fairfield Elementary School in a new art installation. For his latest project called reForm, Osorio, along with 11 former Fairfield students, will transform the inside of a Tyler classroom using salvaged materials from the former school.
