Temple enhances branding at Cecil B. Moore station

Video Production: Gina Benigno

The Cecil B. Moore subway station on SEPTA’s Broad Street Line in North Philadelphia recently received a makeover in the form of Temple University branding in and outside of the station.

On the station’s exterior, the project includes Temple lettering on the northeast headhouse, as well as university branding on the northeast and southwest elevators. Within the station, there are Temple-branded window clings, concourse window graphics and backlit artwork. This branding campaign is expected to be up through the academic year.

“The Cecil B. Moore Station is a major entryway to Main Campus, and as such we want our students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the public to see and feel the energy of our campus as soon as they arrive,” said Vice President for Strategic Marketing and Communications Karen Clarke.

Other planned enhancements to the station include updated, more prominent displays to commemorate the legacy of civil-rights leader Cecil B. Moore, LAW ’53. An outspoken advocate for African-Americans, Moore is perhaps best known for his efforts to integrate Girard College in the 1960s.
