Temple wins top honors at 2025 Philadelphia Flower Show

Tyler’s landscape architecture and horticulture programs received various awards for this year’s exhibit titled Reflections on Regeneration: An Artful Response to Our Changing Environment

Tyler landscape architecture and horticulture students, staff and faculty won top honors for their Reflections on Regeneration: An Artful Response to Our Changing Environment exhibit at the 2025 Philadelphia Flower Show.

On the evening of Friday, Feb. 28, it was time once again to present students, faculty and staff from Tyler’s landscape architecture and horticulture programs with their flowers. 

For the third consecutive year, the Temple team took home various top honors at the Philadelphia Flower Show, the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event. They again earned a PHS Gold Medal, which is awarded to a major exhibit receiving 90 to 100 points based on the “criteria of design, horticulture, plantsmanship and educational value.” 

Temple’s exhibit titled Reflections on Regeneration: An Artful Response to Our Changing Environment also received the Bulkley Medal of the Garden Club of America for a special exhibit in the field of horticulture, botany and conservation. Additionally, it won the Alfred M. Campbell Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to the “educational major exhibit that demonstrates the most successful use of a variety of plants in a unique fashion.”
