In photos: Meet the purr-fect pets on Temple’s Campus on National Pet Day
National Pet Day is celebrated annually on April 11. The unofficial holiday is dedicated to appreciating pets and raising awareness for those in need, especially in shelters, encouraging adoption and promoting animal welfare.

We asked Temple students to take pictures of their adorable pets for National Pet Day, an unofficial holiday celebrated annually on April 11. It is a day to give your pets extra love and appreciation. Consider spoiling your pets with treats and toys or a special walk in a park. Many pet parents on this occasion enjoy sharing photos of their fur friends on social media using #DogsofTU. It is also a day to donate supplies and funds to animal shelters and raise awareness about pet adoption.
Here are some Temple-proud pets in photos.
