For the fourth year in a row, the Temple University School of Pharmacy (TUSP) was honored by the National Consumers League (NCL) for the Spring 2025 Script Your Future Challenge.

The team, led by students Courtney Wiggins and Jill Zelinsky and TUSP faculty co-advisors Dr. Mark Cinquegrani and Dr. Natalie Rodriguez, received the Underrepresented Community Outreach award for their work with the North Philadelphia Community on medication adherence, safe drug disposal, vaccine confidence, and more.

“We’re so proud of the accomplishments of our Script Your Future Challenge team,” said S. Suresh Madhavan, PhD, MBA, FAPhA, Dean of the Temple University School of Pharmacy. “Their project was truly representative of TUSP’s commitment to our local community and to our patient-first approach to healthcare.”

Script Your Future is a national consumer education campaign that raises awareness about the importance of medication adherence as a vital first step toward better health outcomes. The campaign was launched in 2011 and is coordinated by the NCL, a private, non-profit membership organization whose mission is to protect and promote social and economic justice for consumers and workers in the US and abroad.

This year, the TUSP team’s outreach events took place at Temple Health medicine and family medicine clinics, the Temple University Hospital lobby, local community sites such as the PLS Health Fair at the Free Library of Philadelphia, and on social media. The award was accepted by Dr. Cinquegrani at the recent American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Annual Meeting.
