The Baptist Temple’s stained glass half-rose window at the front of the church is a distinctive element of the beautiful 1891 building that has become a community treasure and Philadelphia landmark.

Construction will begin in October on a two-year, $29 million renovation to the Baptist Temple that will transform the historic landmark into a multipurpose performance center. To celebrate the building’s history and exciting future, a reception is being held on Monday, Sept. 10.

Temple employees are invited to attend this special reception, where they can see the interior of Baptist Temple and be among the first to hear about the renovation plans. The reception also includes food, raffle prizes, tours and a special preview of the architectural renderings.

Registration is required for this event. To register, contact the Office of Special Events at 215-204-1636.
