Staley and Dunphy named to list of ‘75 Greatest Living Philadelphians’

Dawn Staley and Fran Dunphy have been selected as two of Philadelphia's 75 Greatest Living residents on a list compiled by the Philadelphia Eagles and Dunkin' Donuts.

The list, announced Sept. 19, coincided with the Eagles' home opener.

Staley was honored for her work with the Dawn Staley Foundation, while Dunphy was recognized as a member of the board of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Philadelphia.

Nominations could be made on the Eagles' web site to tie in with the celebration of the Eagles' 75th anniversary. Hundreds were nominated, but the selection committee favored those who had given back to the community and demonstrated an "ability to motivate, inspire and improve those around them."

Other honorees include Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham, Villanova football coach Andy Talley, CBS 3 anchor Larry Mendte and Q102 morning show personality Diego Ramos, to name a few.
