Temple Ambler’s installment at the 2011 Philadelphia Flower Show

Temple Ambler’s installment at the 2011 Philadelphia Flower Show “Écolibrium – French Traditions/Modern Interpretations” was the result of two semesters of preparation from more than 25 students and faculty from the Department of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture. Inspired by Versailles and the work of artist Piet Mondrian, the exhibit featured more than 2,000 plants from 110 species and incorporated modern sustainable practices. It won the Bulkley Medal of the Garden Club of America for its “exceptional educational merit.”  This is the second straight year that Temple Ambler has received this distinction.
