Andrew Mendelson, associate professor of journalism, has been named the 2011 recipient of the Kappa Tau Alpha (KTA) William H. Taft Outstanding Adviser Award. The award recognizes advisers with long-term records of superior service to KTA and who by action and example have actively promoted scholarship in the field. He will accept the award on August 11 at the national convention of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications in St. Louis, Mo.
