Ram Mudambi, professor and chair for general and strategic management at the Fox School of Business, presented “The smile of value creation: Location and control in knowledge-intensive industries,” at the Nordic Workshop in International Business, held at Uppsala University in Sweden on May 29. On May 30, he was a Ph.D. opponent to Ciara Sutton at the Stockholm School of Economics, Nobel Hall, on the topic, “Foreign Indirect Investment in the Venture Capital Industry: A study of foreign limited partners’ impact on Venture Capital firms in Sweden.” Earlier this year, he acted as an expert commentator at the workshop on “Internationalization and externalization processes of international business operations” at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark on March 10-11.
