Laura Toran, associate professor of geology at the College of Science and Technology, received a subaward from Pennsylvania State University for the project “Shale Hills Critical Zone Observatory.” The award provides $6,500 for the first year of support, with total funding estimated at $48,718 from Nov. 15, 2007 through Oct, 31, 2012 (pending availability of additional federal funds).
