Reza Fassihi, professor of industrial pharmacy and biopharmaceutics at the School of Pharmacy, and three graduate students presented posters at the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists meeting in San Diego in November. The poster topics were “Drug solubility character and release from controlled release polymer based matrices: An analysis of fronts(s) movement on dissoluiton rate,” “Development and evaluation of a swellable and floatable gastro-retentive delivery system,” and “Comparative study of swelling and erosion properties of PEO, HPMC and Kollidon SR.”
