Jan Fernback and Gwen Shaffer, both of the Department of Mass Media and Communication at the School of Communications and Theater, received a grant from the National Science Foundation for the project “Doctoral Dissertation Research: The Potential for Wireless Signal Sharing Communities to Expand Digital Inclusion Efforts.” The award provides $8,970 for the period Feb. 15, 2009 through Jan. 31, 2010.
