Nicholas Davatzes, of the Geology Department at the College of Science and Technology, received a grant from the University of Nevada, Reno (whose prime supporter is the U.S. Department of Energy) for the project, “Characterizing Controls on Geothermal Systems in the Northern Great Basin through Integrated Structural Analysis and Modeling.” The award provides $10,692.89 for the period Jan. 1, 2008 through Dec. 31, 2008.
