Christopher Harper, professor of journalism in the School of Communications and Theater, was awarded a $50,000 provost seed grant to assist the Historical Society of Pennsylvania in expanding its website, www.philaplace.org. Journalism students writing for "Philadelphia Neighborhoods," the capstone course for journalism majors, and SCT photojournalism majors will work with the historical society to provide historical accounts of neighborhoods in the city.
